Cyst: Corpus luteal cysts should resolved after your period. Many times a radiologist will say in the report that the cyst looks like a corpus luteum. You probably need to get a repeat scan in 4-6 weeks as it might be a hemorrhagic cyst or endometrioma, which might be more associated with irregular bleeding. Post-ov: I obviously can't see your ultrasound to comment, but the hemorrhagic cyst is almost certainly because of your ovulation: this is what you'd expect to see post-ov.
