I took a cyclic citrullinated peptide IgG abs and the results were > 250h to the 4th power. What does this mean?

A newer test for RA: A positive result for cyclic citrullinated peptide (ccp) antibodies indicates a high likelihood of rheumatoid arthritis (ra). Results are usually reported in units with a value of >40 units considered positive. I'm not familiar with the scale that was used on your test. If its positive that's a strong sign that you have ra. ...Read more

I tested and have a cyclic citrullinated peptide (ccp) ab (igg) >250 units and RA latex Turbid 170.7 IU/mL. and ANA direct negative. what r results?

I tested and have a cyclic citrullinated peptide (ccp) ab (igg) >250 units and RA latex Turbid 170.7 IU/mL. and ANA direct negative. what r results?

Rheumatoid arthritis: Your tests are strongly suggesting rheumatoid arthritis. I do not know the range for RA latex for that specific lab, but if you have symptoms consistent with rheumatoid arthritis you most likely have rheumatoid arthritis. Talk to your doctor about the results and the benefits of a rheumatology consult. ...Read more

I have questions about join problem. “anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide” test. Result is “anti ccp = 110 and ul ml=0.5” informed me is this critical?

I have questions about join problem. “anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide” test. Result is “anti ccp = 110 and ul ml=0.5” informed me is this critical?

Anti-CCP test: This test is often done at the same time as a rheumatoid factor (rf) for rheumatoid arthritis. A value greater than 60 elisa units is "strongly positive". This result suggest you should be under the care of a rheumatologist to confirm/reject this diagnosis & to treat you if the DX is correct. The ui ml= 0.5 is confusing, unless the results were in spanish or other non-english language. ...Read more

Ra titer was 42 IU/ml and cyclic peptide IGG was 250. ESR and CRP were normal. Thoughts?

What is a highly positive IgG 491 convalescent phase?

What is a highly positive IgG 491 convalescent phase?

Immunoglobulin: IgG or immunoglobulin G is a protein secreted by B cells and is part of your immune system (lymphocytes) trying to eradicate a virus, bacteria or fungus that may have caused an infection. Frankly, I do not think a level of 491 is that high. Ask your physician who obtained this immune function test to explain. ...Read more

Is an IgG level of 3.5g/l significantly low?

Is an IgG level of 3.5g/l significantly low?

Lowish: It's not going to make you sick, though. The strong medications you're taking may account for the value being down a bit. We all have much more igg than we need, and you do yourself a disservice by worrying overmuch about lab values -- "reference ranges" are simply where most people fall, not "ideal ranges for optimal health." this value may well be right for you. Best wishes. ...Read more
