PPI's take: to long to be effective. Try taking OTC H-2 Blocker (eg PEPCID (famotidine) AC) plus a liquid antacid but AVOID MAGNESIUM (eg Maalox) this may cause diarrhea! Hope this helps BTW Acid does NOT fight the infection! ...Read more

Please Don't "Flush": The only home remedy that i know of is a "gallbladder flush": ingesting substances to cause significant contraction of the gb with the hope that the stones could be flushed into the intestines. Unfortunately, this is actually dangerous since the stones can get stuck in the bile duct & block the liver. Furthermore, even if successful, new ones will form.
