Cures For Armpit Itchy Skin
Itchy rashes under armpit, what are possible causes and OTC treatments? I shower daily, don't shave.
Dermatitis vs fungal: An 'itchy' rash in the axilla (arm pit) may be a 'contact dermatitis' or a yeast/fungal infection. An otc treatment for dermatitis is Cortaid (hydrocortisone 1%) and the treatment for fungal infection is otc 'anti-fungal' e.g. Lotrimin (clotrimazole). Dermatitis may be caused by exposure to chemicals/fragrances in deodorant/anti-perspirants so a hypo-allergenic subsitute may be needed. Get seen if no better. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Have been treating entire body for fungal infection with coconut oil rash gone skin dry and flaky now still itches really bad possible Id reaction? Symmetrical rash started on torso spread to arms and legs has reached ankles still extremely itchy on breas
Sounds fungal: Would need more background information as there are several potential causes for rash such as this. However, ruling out fungal infection is at top of list. Coconut oil has good antimicrobial properties and may have helped calm an inflammatory reaction to the infection, but does not seem to have completed the task. Would see a physician to confirm and take antifungal medication. ...Read more
Reduce Symptoms: No good "cure", but you can do a lot to reduce symptoms, generally with topical remedies. Start with Diphenhydramine cream or topical anesthetic "sticks". Better is prescription strength steroid cream. Some argue for topical raw (freshly sliced) onion! works for bee-stings too. For truly "all over" bites, consider an oral steroid, but this is a prescription you must get from your doctor. ...Read more

Itchy skin rash all over body (except for face, neck, palms and soles) for 14 days. NO fever, NO flu-like symptons, NO lymph node. Can it be HIV ARS?
Rash: It sounds more likely that it is an allergic reaction to something. The fact that it is not on the palms and soles of your feet makes other bad things less likely. Skin rashes are hard to diagnose and the diagnosis depends on where the rash is, the color, whether there are blotches, raised bumps and many other things. You can buy benadryl (diphenhydramine) in the pharmacy for itching and if it persists see DR. ...Read more
