Hoarse Voice: Greetings. The most likely cause of your vocal changes is persistent swelling of your vocal cords. The cold is most commonly caused by a virus as is laryngitis. Give your voice a rest. Drink lots of liquids and avoid aggressive throat clearing. Ibuprofen is a good antiinflammatory that will help too. I assume you have no reflux and don't smoke.
