Ct Scan Of Left Foot
Ct uses xrays taken an 360 degrees combined with a computer to see"inside" the body. The table moves as the xray tube and detectors spin around the patient 10 times a second or more! the image shows excellent soft tissue detail, enhanced with injection of intravenous contrast or oral contrast. This way the body is shown in slices, in any plane, usually axially, but ...Read more
Slight tingle in left hand(pink&ring)tingles in left foot too/ clean blood work and cat scan! super nervous. I have been getting allergy/sinus headach?
Calm down: Don't let your nerves get the best of you. What body part got the cat scan and why? I would see an orthopedist since there is hand and foot involvement and let them conclude if you have isolated nerve compressions i.E carpal and tarsal tunner syndrome or some radiculpathy more proximally i.E the back, or some systemic disorder. I do not think the sinus headache is related. Feel better. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
8 year old have spasms in left hand and foot. Spasm getting more frequent and larger. There is no pain and the CT scan showed nothing abnormal.Advise?
MRI: CT is limited to what it can see. You did not mention what the CT was for or what body part. In the pediatric age group, MRI is preferable in view of its lack of X-ray and better soft tissue visualization. MRI should include head, neck and thoracic spines at the least. Perhaps that will get to the root of the issue. Good luck ...Read more
Sijoints , left leg &foot very painful.Nerve tests say spine is on nerves. When sitting legs out, can't pick up leg at all, limp always.Spinal , mileogram, and CT scan coming.Opinions?
I've got fracture of left acetablum 2 yrs early. Now pain in hip joint and foot fingers.Ortho says all ok according to CT scan. What's reason of pain?
Labral tear: If the ct scan shows a well reduced fracture you may need an MRI to look for a labral tear. The labrum is a ring of cartilage around the acetabulum that may be torn at the time of your fracture. This would not show up on ct scan and require an MRI to be seen. If this is the case you may need a hip arthroscopy. There may also be a focal cartilage injury. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Break, mass, abscess: A ct scan is a series of x-rays, computer-interpreted to provide the appearance of slicing up the body part(s) imaged. It is good at looking at soft tissues and bones to see if there are fractures, swelling, fluid collections (like bruises or abscesses), or growths (like tumors). The feet can be studied to look for stress fractures or other causes of pain not visible on plain x-rays. ...Read more

Had CT in 2011 for headaches and tingling left foot-results normal.Still have same symptoms!how likely to be a brain tumour?
Unlikely: Numbness/tingling of one foot would more may be related to your back. A slipped disc pressing on a nerve root that exits your back could cause this. If you had a negative ct of your brain 3 years ago, and the symptoms have not changed, it would be unlikely to be a tumor which would have grown by now and caused other symptoms. Ms is also possible, but an MRI of the brain is needed for diagnosis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Internal tremor affecting feet 24/7. Awaiting CT scan.I've been suffering with frequent headaches. Any ideas on the internal shaking? Worried it's ms.
It depends...: You need an examination by neurologist: usually a ct will not be helpful, make sure there's a good reason for it. Could be many things, many of which are benign. The neurologist can steer you in the right direction. I wouldn't jump to conclusions, although ms can give many symptoms, headache and bilateral tremor are not typically among them. ...Read more

Should i get CT scan for bump on 4th bone of foot that caused pain & swelling? Had mri- inflammation. Cause of that? My doc-yes, insurance-no.
Hard to say: It's hard to say. A foot xray may be able to show presence of fracture or bone formation around the nodule. Not sure if a foot ct would add additional information without knowing the exact findings on mri. Swelling and pain can be from arthritis, infection or trauma. A tumor is possible but less common. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What does this mean? I am female, 22 years old, 110 pounds and 5 feet 6 inches tall. I recently had a CT scan and it said this, "follicular change is seen in the ovaries. There is fluid in the endometrial canal. There may be septate uterus. There is hypo-
Could be normal: Follicles are what mature an egg prior to ovulation - these ebb and flow during every month, so that's normal. Fluid in the endometrial canal could also mean that you have ovulated and your uterine inner lining is becoming more friendly to welcome and nurture sperm. The divided uterus could be an issue, but most likely (if the report is not definitive) it should not affect your fertility. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

8 year old had CT scan for appendix around 2 months ago now she complains with leg and foot pain and she had a real bad nose bleed is this related?
Ct scan uses data from a beam of xrays and reconstructs a cross sectional image of your body. It is a high dose of xrays and used only when the benefits outweigh the risk. Cancer risk is 1 in 500 in children. Also using iodinated contrast might cause transient renal failure in about 5% of patients. (contrast induced nepropathy) most do not explain this to the patient as ...Read more
