Cryselle Birth Control
I've been taking cryselle birth control for 16 days now and the 15th day i had u protected sex, could i be pregnant?
Take the test: If you want to know if you are pregnant, take a test. In today's world you do not need to wonder if you are pregnant or not based on symptoms. Pregnancy tests are available at any pharmacy and in minutes you will have your answer. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. ...Read more

I just got diagnosis w/Factor V deficiency. Was on cryselle Birth Control. What else can I take for birth control methods with this disorder?
Avoid estrogen.: You may take progestin-only or non-hormonal contraceptives, eg copper IUD. Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is progestin only, but in studies, it has increased the risk of blood clot in FVL deficiency. Cryselle contains estrogen, which, when taken by a patient with Factor V Leiden deficiency, can increase the risk of blood clot. I would also come off the Seasonale; this has estrogen in it. Hope this helps! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I'm on a low dose birth control (Cryselle) and I had breakthrough bleeding about two weeks ago. Havent had sex, and I'm 4 days late. What to do?
I am on the birth control Cryselle. I am very good about taking it but there was a delay this time around and I started my new pack 29 hours later than normal. (should have started Fri at 2 PM instead on Sat at 7 PM). I had unprotected sex Saturday night.
Low risk: The risk of pregnancy is low from your delay in starting the medication. You could have taken Plan B after sex, but if it happened last week, it is late for that. God forbid, if you miss your period by 4-5 days, do a pregnancy test. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is cryselle a good brand of birth control? Is it more likely to cause unwanted side effects than other brands?
How long do I have to wait for my birth control to take effect? I did a quick start. It's cryselle brand if that makes any difference. My boyfriend and i are planning on using condoms as well.
It depends: It depends on whether you can be sure you're not pregnant--no sex in the last month, consistent birth control. If no risk of pregnancy, you can do a "quick start" and start anytime. Many doctors advise starting on the first day of a period. Use back up birth control for 7 days if you start anytime other than day 1 of your period. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
