My right eye is bigger than my left eye. It started when I rode a plane.

What can I do if my left eye is 50 and my right eye is 22 and my pd is 5 1/2. How far can I see?

Need more info: If by 50, you mean 20/50 then that eye needs to be 20 feet away from something that can normally be seen at 50 feet. The 22 you mention is harder to understand. Pd means pupillary distance and just describes how wide apart your eyes are for eyeglass fitting purposes and is not an indication of vision. If you provide more details, a better answer can be given. ...Read more

Notice when I have my contacts in I see a lot clearer in my left eye than my right eye. Shouldn't they be equal?

Notice when I have my contacts in I see a lot clearer in my left eye than my right eye. Shouldn't they be equal?

Vision with contacts: It depends! Certainly most contact lens fittings are done to perfect equal vision in each eye. However, the over 40 set may elect monovision, one eye set for distance and the other for near so as to avoid the need for reading glasses! if the vision cannot be corrected to achieve equal sight in both eyes, there could be a defect in the contact lens or the eye itself. Best to have this checked out. ...Read more

Do lattice regions occur in multiples usually? I have 4 in left eye and 2 in right eye. Is it normally how they occur?

Usually find several: Lattice is the retinas way of responding to peripheral stress by laying down a type of protective attachment to the underlying tissue. The stresses are equal in both eyes and lattice commonly is bilateral and multiple stress points occur in each eye so there are sometimes more than one area involved. They represent a continued area of stress for the formation of retinal detachment over time. ...Read more
