No: There is a very wide range of normal for little babies in terms of the bowel habit. Believe it or not little babies can go for up to 2 weeks without passing a stool and it is still considered normal provided they are not distressed. Bottle fed babies are more prone to constipation than breast fed. Make sure you have the ratio of formula to water measured accurately and otherwise cary on! ...Read more
Period has been terrible past two times. Never have had it this bad. Cramps so bad I am crying, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, chills. Heavy flow.
Rule out pregnancy: Check a urine pregnancy test (first response brand) if you are having sex. Painful and/or heavy periods can be a sign of estrogen excess. If the pregnancy test is negative, cut the sugar, refined carbs out of your diet. Eat organically or at least avoid the dirty dozen. If you don't see an improvement in 3 months of dietary changes, see your ob/gyn. ...Read more

You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale or nibble on crystallized ginger. Or pour boiling water over freshly sliced organic ginger & steep at least 5 min in a covered pot. Sip. Good morning, my toddler is 4 and for the past few weeks when it is time to go to creche she will start crying about stomach ache and vomitting. Weekends she is fine and during the day she is ok as well. What could the cause be? Psycological?
Manipulation: Kids at that age don't have the sense of right & wrong that they will acquire after age 8 or so. If they don't want to do something they understand that parents will respond to their crying & feigned illness. If she is well on weekends/acts sick on crèche days she is exercising her powers of persuasion. Check out what is happening at the center before confronting the kid. It is behavioral. ...Read more

Weird Sleep behavior: Sleep related behaviors are fairly common in children. Some children may arise and engage in complex and unexpected behaviors without any recollection (including our son's infamous "sleep peeing") these behaviors are more common in school age kids and may follow sleep disturbances. Can crying trigger asthma attacks in asthmatic infants? My 7mo doesn't sleep on her own and I fear CIO methods due to vomiting and wheezing.
Your baby does need to be seen by a specialist. Wheezing at this age may be due to a number of conditions. Crying and increased respiratory effort may be the result of the asthma. If the baby wheezes often, a controller medication such as Pulmicort nebulized solution is used. This is an aerosol form of a steroid.
