I have heat bumps on my face and under my bottom lip they have become weepy and crusty and split when I smile, they are now very sore. Pls advise?

Forget it: No home remedies work for this. None of the creams are worth the money. Prescription pills are very effective but only if taken at the prodrome. Best is valacyclovir 2 grams at once when the first tingling warns of an impending attack. May still help if taken at first appearance of the sore.
