Crustaceans are a type of shellfish- lobster, shrimp, crab and prawn. When allergic to this group of shellfish, and ingested, symptoms can include any of the following soon after eating: hives, itching, rash, swelling of the skin, feeling like the throat is closing, trouble breathing, cough, wheeze, nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, fainting. Please see an allergist if you have had symptoms.

Can't Tell Now: Many children outgrow their food allergies but not all. For things like milk, egg and wheat, around 80% outgrow them. For nuts, it's as bad as only 20% outgrowing them.
