Took iron pill with grape juice not grapefruit, Welch's grape juice. Idk if that's bad or not. I drank water and ate afterwards.
Ok: It may actually be helpful to take iron with juices rich in vitamin C because iron is more easily absorbed when taken with vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is the strongest iron inhancer, reducing ferric iron to ferrous iron. Avoid iron inhibitors like tannins in tea, red wine and phytates in nuts, seeds, grains and cereal. They prevent non heme iron from being absorbed ...Read more
Grapefruit and stati: Generally you should significantly restrict your intake of grapefruit and its juice while taking statins because they reduce the breakdown of the drug and you can get toxicity and more side effects. Is it better to use canned pumpkin or fresh pumpkin? Canned pumpkin pie mix or just plain canned pumpkin?
Fresh but celebrate!: I believe in fresh fruits&veggies/shopping in the periphery of the store. However, if you have a family recipe or something that you use once per year and it's canned pie mix, go for it! I take warfarin how do tumeric, chilli, chia seeds, garlic, onions, ginger stinging nettle tea interact with warfarin?
It's complicated but: I dislike warfarin because virtually every medicine and herb interacts with it. Turmeuric, chia seeds, garlic and ginger also thin blood and thus you might need to lower the dose. Rather than avoiding these one can consume consistent amounts & adjust coumadin accordingly or one can consider alternative meds or even supplements (under doc's guidance) to thin blood. First, there is some: evidence that tart/sour cherries are helpful anti-oxidants...most fruits and vegetables are and I'm not sure tart cherries are that much better. Claims of pain relief and sleeping aid are unproven but have been reported. Most people will compare the "number of cherry equivalents" in juice vs capsules and factor in whether they like the taste of the juice. A wide selection of fruits/veggies is best ...Read more

Nothing wrong: There is no concern about any of the ingredients you mention. Am not sure whether to say it is "good" since other unprocessed foods are probably as good. It is an interesting combination of ingredients. I presume you did some research before choosing them? If you feel it helps you then there is no reason that i know of not to continue with it. ...Read more
