Subungual hematoma: Black discoloration under the nail is caused by bleeding. After three days there isn't anything to do for this. If you think you may have broken the tip of the finger bone, an x-ray could answer this question. ...Read more

Sounds normal: Healing stitches can itch like crazy. ( I have personal experience with this). You might want to peek under the bandage and make sure you haven't developed a rash from the bacitracin or something else. ...Read more

I sliced my finger with a mandolin and went to the er and they wrapped with gauze.  Still bleeding after 2 days when I remove wrapping - that normal?

Should not still be: bleeding 2 days later. really hard to gage this without seeing it. Perhaps it should have had stitches, but that is impossible to say without an exam. But even a cut deep enough to have stitches should stop actively bleeding after 2days. On the other hand a drop or two of blood on the dressing is not unexpected. It all depends on how much blood there is, which again needs to be seen visually ...Read more
