Stop excess perspire: Controlling excess perspiration is a good start. Wearing socks that absorb moisture and letting feet air out whenever possible. A small amount of powder in shoes may help. Charcot foot is a serious complication of diabetes, which results in a collapsing of part of the foot. There are several options and treatments, including casts, boots, and sometimes, surgery. I'm not aware of any cures, in that it is permanently healed and never comes back, unfortunately.
