Air travel after IVF ok? Had to go abroad due to cost.

Yes: Recommendations for travel after an ivf treatment vary from center to center. Originally, women had recovery room bed rest for as much as 4 hours. Now women leave the office almost immediately. We do not really know exactly, so you may want to delay your trip home for a day or two. Sleep Cycle Disorder: I would suggest a possible sleep study to determine if a circadian sleep cycle disorder does not exist. Also a broader evaluation checking for an anxiety and depressive problem. Depending upon the results, light therapy may help with or without melatonin. In more severe conditions Modafinil may be needed either with or without c-pap. C-pap if for breathing disorders. ...Read more

Have cystorectocele. Urogyn recommends surgery; recovery was @12 weeks. Planning trip to Israel 7/2/15.If repair done 4/6/15,is it too early to travel?

No: Having done thousands of vaginal repairs and reviewing the literature on postop restrictions, there is little basis for limiting activities for any significant time. Had crossover toe surgery 3 days ago.Wire/screws.Stay at home mom went shopping, did laundry, etc. today.Feeling bad tonight. How long until recovery?

Ask your surgeon.: This is the very type question that I'm sure your surgeon discussed with you before you consented to have the operation. Total recovery could take 6 months. ...Read more
