My Primary is out of town, received lab results with + for IGG P41 and 39; 9 CRP. Symptoms swollen tendons in both feet/ankles. Stiffness upon waking.
Likely a neg test: You have circulating antibodies that bind to 2 of the proteins on the Lyme disease panel. A high percentage of people who have never been exposed to Lyme's disease will have such antibodies. Mono?: Obviously, you are in a workup by someone. Keep going. Mononucleosis has some of these characteristics, though "no symptoms" would be improbable given the blood results. Many possibilities: Need far more history and physical findings. This is called a fever of undetermined origin and in over 50% of cases is not due to infection. You should be seen by an infectious diseases expert and evaluated thoroughly. Do not neglect this further. You may need a bone marrow aspirate and biopsy as part of the assessment. There have been a slew of newly created guidelines and in my opinion they serve to exclude those who have mild symptoms and very often these individuals go on to develop worsening features before the diagnosis is made. An experienced doctor will easily pick up crps. The big problem is that most doctors do not diagnose crps and now with the guidelines it worsens this. ...Read more

Complex Reg Pain: Crps is a difficult diagnosis to make, as well as to treat. Often need a multimodal approach including both therapy and medications.
