Cost of dental impants, bone grafts?

It varies: In a general sense, you are not buying a chunk of metal or a piece of bone; you are paying for the experience and expertise of the dental surgeon who is performing the procedure. Most conventional implants run $3-5000 apiece with an additional fee for the crown which sits on it. Grafts-? ...Read more

Gold crown vs zirconia crown for molars? Which is better?

Better?: Better is a subjective term. Better in what way? Each has pros and cons. If a any type of crown was universally better, it would be the only one used. What are the disadvantages of placing dental crowns comparable to porcelain veneers?

More tooth structure: Sometimes you have no choice when a tooth is so decayed or fractured... A conservative veneer won't do in those cases. Ask your dentist always to be minimally invasive.. Ask for inlays, onlays, 3/4 crowns in the back (posterior) regions when possible, and key is to preserve as much solid tooth structure as possible. ...Read more

What type of dental implant crown is the strongest on molars. Lab made all porcelain, the cerec crowns, PFM or PFHNM crowns.  Which ones are worst.

Gold crowns: For strength and longevity, gold would be your best choice, for esthetic reason we use porcelain, zirconia is the strongest but it is very abrasive and can damage the opposing teeth, e_max blocks (cerec), or pfm should do well, in this case e_max, can be stronger then the regular pfm, but again it can be a bit more abrasive. The choice is yours. ...Read more

Also cement can get under the gum and cause problems to the implant and bone . if the cemented crown gets loose u need to drill a hole thru the crown to expose the screw to tighten it ...Read more
