Yes: Croup is very transmittable and adults can get it many times just like kids since there are many strains. Adults usually don't have the croupy cough but you can still have fevers, sore throat, congestion, cough and feel miserable. Montelukast: Montelukast is a preventative asthma medication and also used for allergy control. Your 'Croup" symptoms may actually be asthma or allergy symptoms - there is this type of both conditions. So when this is wearing off, your symptoms reappear. Likely same virus: Most probably it is the same virus infection in both the children. Only one vomit does not suggest another infection .Your daughter may start coughing later on .Coughing ,diarrhea and vomiting and fever are the common symptoms in respiratory viral infections .Watch your daughter for her symptoms and talk to your doctor . ...Read more
