My creatinine is 1.2 on march 2014 and in october, 1.3 now my creatinine is 1.4 if i control my diabetes from now it will stop rising?
You need a doctor: Depending on your body habitus, how much muscle mass you have, a creatinine of 1.4 could represent a loss of kidney function. You need to be followed by a doctor and maybe nephrologist to determine if their is loss of kidney function and what is the likely cause. Keep following it: That is high for a female of your age, but some renal damage is expected in diabetes after 30 years. This high value may be a heads-up indicating (mild, at this level) damage. My father creatinine level-1.4,uric acid-7.7,albumin trace. Is this a PROBLEM,if so what diet and drug should be followed?

What do you suggest if my serum creatinine level is 1.4 mg/dl and egfr is 61. what does it indicate?
The eGFR: is estimated glomerular filtration rate, a measure of how well the kidneys are working. 61 is a normal value. Creatinine is produced by muscle at a relatively stable rate, and excreted unaltered by the kidneys, so it also is a proxy for kidney function. It is also related to muscle mass. 1.4 may or may not be a little high depending on your level of muscle mass. Speak with your doc about it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
