Isn't it impossible for someone to have end stage renal failure with consistently normal bun and creatine blood levels and only protien in urine?
Most likely yes: The diagnosis depends on multiple factors including the likelihood of improvement with treatment. If there can be no improvement and there is severe protienuria due to glomerular malfunction, it is possible to be labeled end-stage before a significant change in creatinine or BUN has occurred. ...Read more

May get follow-up: This is a way of estimating how much protein is being lost via the kidneys on a spot urine, without using a 24 hour check. This is a wee bit high. If you have diabetes, this might be a reason for a follow-up study; if there's nothing else to suggest kidney disease and you're not diabetic, your physician may simply note it for future reference. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Taking meds like advil and ibuprofen hurt your kidneys as well. Keep your pressure controlled ...Read more
Diagnostic test: A 24-hour urine collection is a simple diagnostic procedure that measures the components of urine. The test is noninvasive (the skin is not pierced), and is used to assess kidney (renal) function. Specifically the amount of creatinine excreted is measured to get an estimate of the glomerular filtration rate (gfr). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I'm worried too: You're a female, I don't know if you're elderly, but this does suggest some diminished renal function. If your urinalysis is abnormal, I'd be more concerned. You're likely to be tested in a few weeks off medications, and if your labs are still abnormal, to be referred to a nephrologist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
