Safe: Creatine is a natural substance necessary for muscle strength. Taking a supplement during bodybuilding is safe and has been shown to significantly help body building. I recommend it to people who are overweight and are pursuing a physical fitness program. It appears to be useful in rehabilitating mitochondrial and other neuromuscular disorders with muscle strengthening exercises. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Do not take creatine: Creatine as a supplement has been purported to increase speed and strength in the young athlete. It has been shown to have only a very modest benefit for short bursts of activity but there is great concern about the potential for kidney damage as a result of its use. Based capsule & creatine is a natural health supplement. Should there be any health problems or side effects?
I take Prilosec and Zyrtec (cetirizine) D on a daily basis. Would creatine mixed with these have any additional effects on my health/body?
Not Likely: I do not like to give patients Zyrtec-D on a regular basis because the pseudoephedrine in it can cause increased heart rate, blood pressure, insomnia, irritability, and agitation. Prilosec can cause some vitamins and minerals not to absorb into the body from the digestive tract as easily so if you are seriously working out you might discuss this with your doc. These don't interact with creatine. ...Read more
I'm planning to take optimum nutrition protein powder "serious mass". Just wanted to know if creatine monohydrate safe for health?
Very safe: I am extremely glad that you are choosing to use creatine as your bodybuilding supplement rather than an anabolic steroid. The former is for real athletes; the latter is for cheaters / lawbreakers. Remember that most women strongly prefer the "natural bodybuilder" look, feel, and attitude. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have slightly elevated ALT & slightly elevated Creatine b/c I'm on a lot of meds for my health Tylenol (acetaminophen) vs Motrin which is easier on the body?
Totally Depends.: Homework: go to Medscape drug interaction checker (you may need to create an account). Plug in all of your meds, and then both Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen. That will give you your answer. Your liver may take a hit from acetaminophen while your kidneys & heart can take a hit from NSAIDS/COX inhibitor.
