Probably not: The main ingredient, azaleic acid, is used to treat acne or rosacea. It acts as an antibiotic but it also can lessen inflammation and can lessen post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation, so if the scar is hyperpigmented or inflamed, it could be of some use. Vitamin E: Historically, vitamin E oil has been used by plastic surgeons to minimize the effects of scarring. I'm not aware of any use of vitamin C to reduce scar. Probably won't help: Hypertrophic scarring / keloid formation is a frustrating complication in some patients after trauma or surgery. A strong topical steroid like betamethasone may provide a minimal amount of improvement. Basically, you're taking advantage of the side effect of prolonged use which is skin thinning.
