How much time should it take for Nizoral (ketoconazole) 2% cream to clear candida?

About a week: It's pretty good. If candida is a recurrent problem, ask your phyiscian whether you need to be checked for some underlying problem. Best wishes.

Can candida albicans cream treatment affect women fertility?

Can candida albicans cream treatment affect women fertility?

Yeast rx affect fert: Treatment with creams for yeast vaginitis are not known to affect fertility. But the best treatment is a saturated solution of boric acid or boric acid vaginal inserts, which will definitely not affect fertility.

Hello, I have taken the pessary and cream for thrush (candida) and would like to know if I should wait for a few days to have intercourse. King regard?

Symptoms?: You can resume intercourse when your treatment is done and you have no symptoms. If you are still having symptoms, hold off, and get checked first and successfully treated.

Candida diet: Diets that are low in sugar and carbohydrates but high in raw garlic and probiotics can help keep yeast infections at bay. Herbal supplements such as Pau D'Arco (tincture or capsule form) or the Candida-Cleanse by SolaRay may be helpful. Popcorn does breakdown to a simple carbohydrate but overall is relatively low in sugar.

Recurrent balanitis, swab shows candida, 1 month anti fungal +steroid cream little effect, excellent penile hygiene. Why does it not go away for good?

See remark: You may need to try different antifungal cream. It is very unusaul a month long treratment not helping. My remedy besides the cream, is apply or wrap loosely head of penis with gauze, this gauze should be soaked with solution of 1teaspoon baking powder in 1/2 cup warm water for 15min for 2-3 days

What is the most effective, preferrably natural, way to abolish candida? I have tried all the creams, fluconazol, nystatin, probiotics & coconut oil.

No single best way: Different strains of candida are sensitive/resistant to diff. Treatments so there is no single best way. It is ideal to do a culture with a lab like genova or doctor's data that will do sensitivity testing to see what works best, but it doesn't always grow on culture. No treatment will work without a very low starch diet for several months. I advise consulting a holistic md with expertise in this.

Candida is a Yeast: Makes no sense that your doctor treated Candida albicans with an antibiotic, since it is not a bacteria, and antibiotics actually promote overgrowth. Candida is either treated with an antifungal capsule, Diflucan, or antifungal vaginal creams, like Terazol (terconazole) or Monistat. Avoiding high carb diets, antibiotics, and douching help prevent candida albicans overgrowth.

I have a candida infection between my buttocks. Trying prescrip cream. I also have itching all over my body with no rash. Could this also be due to candida or something else?

I have a candida infection between my buttocks. Trying prescrip cream. I also have itching all over my body with no rash. Could this also be due to candida or something else?

See PCP.: I see you are using Imuran (azathioprine) for crohn's disease which can cause unexplained itching. Candidiasis is usually a superinfection caused by lowered immune system. You need to go back to your pcp for a possible systemic antifungal and perhaps a script for the itching.

Me= yeast infection for 3 mos. Tried creams, boric acid, Candida diet, probiotics, garlic, etc. Taking iron pills 4 anemia- could that be feeding it?

Yeast infection: You do not say whether you have used anti-fungals in your treatment, either topically or orally. That is the best way to treat Candida vulvovaginitis. Iron is highly unlikely to have anything to do with this. If you persist despite this you may be being reinfected by your sexual partner and they could be treated as well. If still an issue make sure your immune system is intact. Good luck.
