Tough question!: With menopause comes changes in skin and hair like you are experiencing. Hair loss is common and results from "male pattern losses" and thinning of the caliber of the hair itself. Now taking lansoprazole (for gerd)and doxy-cycl hycl (for skin issues)- can I start amberen for menopause symptoms?
Probably not: 1st concern would be your gerd sx and the Doxycycline you're taking. Doxy can cause reflux-like symptoms when taken orally. Suggest you talk w/ your doctor (s) about that. Amberen is an unregulated product that appears to have various minerals in a "proprietary blend". Suggest d/w your doc, but i'd have a few concerns, one of which is it looks like it could interfere with absorption of your doxy. ...Read more
