Crawling sensation on my left leg only, always below the knee. No nerve damage that I know of and happens throughout the day. Not only at night.

Nerve endings: That sensation probably represents irritability in the superficial nerves of the leg. Since there are no other neurological symptoms, it probably isn't a serious problem but it would be worthwhile to check for vitamin B 12 deficiency if symptoms persist. A neurologist could advise you further as needed. ...Read more

Blood clot: Your initial impression of a blood clot needs to be ruled out by proper testing in the er. Please go now. Hopefully it is something less serious, but I would advise you to have a blood clot or deep venous thrombosis ruled out and treated so you don't risk throwing a pulmonary embolism to your lungs. Doing squats yesterday no weights and it felt like something above my knee cap ripped. I only did 8. Today go down stairs or sit down on Couch same?

Doubt U tor the quad: But surly U injured it. Coming out of a deep squat, puts Ur quad @ a bad advantage as far as leverage is concerned. Why did doctors used to hit us on the knees with a tiny hammer like thing back in the day? I always wondered what was expected of me.

Why did doctors used to hit us on the knees with a tiny hammer like thing back in the day? I always wondered what was expected of me.

Hello.: Hello. We still tap on knees and other locations with a reflex hammer. The patient's job is to relax and to try not to focus to much on the tap. This allows the doctor to determine if the patient's reflexes are strong or weak, and if they are overly fast, over slow or just the right speed. Great question. ...Read more

My knee is always pain in the next day after I go through some intensive exercise. However, the pain will cease after two days. What's wrong with it?

Nothing.: In exercise, form is very important. Proper form prevents excess strain and injuries. In a lunge, for instance, you do not want your knee to extend beyond your toe, as this will cause knee strain/pain. Because it happens repeatedly and is rapidly better, it's unlikely to be a bad injury. Depending on what you are doing, it's likely simple over use or bad form (or maybe you need better shoes). ...Read more

Knee effusions: Or excess fluid in/around the knee joint are usually the result of trauma (to ligaments or meniscus), arthritis, or infection and often result in swelling and soreness. If small, may not need aspiration for diagnosis or treatment, but the fluid analysis can be very helpful in determining the cause. Very common to recur without identifiable reinjury. Rest, elevation, ice, NSAIDs can be done at home ...Read more

My wife works in a large department store, standing 8 hours a day; her knees started hurting as most others?

New shoes: I'd recommend that your wife wears shoes at the store that are more comfortable and supportive. There are some dress shoes that accomplish that for women. Depending on her age, it would be worth an evaluation for osteoarthritis. The treatments can include tylenol, (acetaminophen) nsaids (like aleve), steroid injections, and use of a cain.
