Is sea salt better for u during pregnancy than regular salt. Does it have the same negative result if you consume to much?

Is sea salt better for u during pregnancy than regular salt. Does it have the same negative result if you consume to much?

Is a salty taste in the mouth normal during pregnancy? What can be done to reduce the taste of salt in the mouth during pregnancy?

Is a salty taste in the mouth normal during pregnancy? What can be done to reduce the taste of salt in the mouth during pregnancy?

LessInThe2ndTrimeste: Pregnancy can be associated with "dysgeusia," the "bad taste problem," maybe caused by high estrogen levels. It's more common than you might think and can result in no taste or an altered taste, like metallic or bitter or salty. It's said that adding sour will stimulate taste buds. So does MSG. Baking Soda mouthwash, brushing teeth and tongue and frequent rinsing with water will help somewhat. ...Read more

Dental Hygiene: Excellent dental hygiene including regular brushing 2 or 3 times per day, flossing ideally everyday and regular checkups will help keep you healthy during pregnancy. Due to the change in hormones, the gum tissue can swell and get inflamed. I would recommend at least 2 cleanings during the pregnancy, at the beginning and sometime toward the 5th or 6th month. ...Read more

Can I soak in Epsom salt bath during pregnancy to help treat yeast infection?

Can I soak in Epsom salt bath during pregnancy to help treat yeast infection?

Epsom=Jetsam: Quote: " As an ideal means of relieving stress at the end of a hard day, two cups of Epsom salts in a tub of hot water can help to soothe jangled nerves and restore a sense of well being."-- I suspect the Epsom Salts will be doing the same for the yeast. In other words, when you get out of your relaxing bath, use a medication recommended by your doctor or pharmacist. ...Read more

Having sweet and salt carb cravings. My period isn't due till the 4th or 5th. Also very mild cramping. Is it too early for pms? Could it be pregnancy?

Can be PMS: Assuming regular menstrual cycles, it's not too early in your cycle for your symptoms to be from pms. However, they can also be seen in pregnancy as well. Have you had unprotected sex? If so, pregnancy is possible. If your menstrual period comes next week your question will be answered. If it's missed, you can take a home pregnancy test to know. ...Read more
