What would make a person carve sweets and nothing else? I don't want anything healthy to eat just chocolate.
Depends on you: Who doesn't like chocolate? I know I do. The important thing is to understand why sweets are damaging to the teeth. So, eat all the sweets you want, but be sure to brush and floss directly after. ...Read more

Is it okay to eat candy once in a while? I never intake sweets and its been 4 years since I've eaten candy, chocolate, drinking soda, etc.
Absolutely: I'm a dentist & a chocoholic (with moderation of course). Some candy and snacks are worse than others. It is all dependent upon frequency of use, time in contact with teeth, and type of candy or snack. Sticky snacks and long lasting ones such as breath mints, lollipops, caramels, etc are bad. Chocolate washes away quickly and is not so bad. When you can't brush & floss, at least rinse afterwards. ...Read more

Why does dark chocolate cause vertigo (not merely dizzy or lightheadedness) whenever I eat it? I can eat milk and semi-sweet chocolate w/o incidence?
Chocolate & vertigo: The answer is obvious: Dark chocolate contains something, or more of something, the causes your vertigo. What that is, I have no idea. Tyramine, maybe. The problem could be in the vestibular apparatus, cranial nerve VIII, or in the brainstem itself. You might narrow it down by comparing detailed chemical analyses of different chocolates, but knowing what it is won't change anything. ...Read more
