I have an ostomy from colon cancer in nov. 13 I get temp of 75 and cramps feel ill and get puss out rectum bm colon is resected what and how is this.?
I have an oastomy from colon cancer in nov. I get cramps and have bowl movements that look like puss and smell bad. Run temp of 75 what is the cause?
That's not normal: The fever is the worrisome part. It is possible that you have a chronic abdominal infection from the surgery. An abscess may drain through the colon and out the ostony. That is why there is pus in the stool. That would be rare but only plausible explanation. Chronic colitis may cause this too but would be associated with abd pain too. Reccomend surgical consult and ct scan. ...Read more
No: Butt cramps are usually related to the muscles of the buttocks like the glutes. They have no bearing or very little on colon function and physiology. ...Read more
Have constant really bad stomach cramps including my sides, worse on left side, nausea too, all I can think is colon cancer what else could this be?
I get cramps after eating. Sometimes it's diarrhea. Stomach feels discomfort in general for over a few months now. Blood on tissue sometimes but have hemorrhoids. Could it be colon cancer? I'm 35yr old.
Cancer unlikely but: You have abdominal cramping after meals and you are 35 years old. It is unlikely that this in colin cancer but it would be a good idea to see your doctor. Even though you have hemorrhoids the blood on tissue paper could be a sign that your intestines are inflamed. Celiac disease among other causes like ulcerative colitis should be evaluated among others. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am 33 year old male, have had loose stools (not watery) for years. Stomach growling/gas/acid reflux/mild cramps, hemrroids. Is this colon cancer?
IBS: Symptoms of loose stools ; abdominal cramps in young adult male suggestive of irritable bowel syndrome. Intestinal cancer would be most unusual. Personally, I would be interested in history of extreme sports participation ; chronic low back pain, which I have found concommitent with these symptoms in young adult males. The symptoms suggest that a primary medical doctor evaluation is in order. ...Read more

Crampy abd pain: The symptoms of colon cancer are a change in bowel habits, blood in stools, pain or pressure in abd or pelvis. So try drinking more water, eating foods that have whole wheat and are not processed, and exercising. ...Read more

It's possible: There are no early signs of colorectal cancer - which is why screening is so important. Signs of gastrointestinal bleeding and crampy abdominal pain can be signs of colorectal cancer. They can also be signs of menstrual cramps, irritable bowel syndrome and many other minor problems. It is unlikely that the cramps are a sign of colorectal cancer, but you should have them investigated! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am 21. My menstrual cramps have become nearly unbearable over the last two years. Should I be concerned about cancer, infections, etc?
I've heard heating pads can give you cancer. Is this true? I like using one to ease my menstrual cramps each month.
I am 44 years old. I have a strong family history of ovarian/breast cancer and braca2 of unknown significance. I getvery painful menstrual cramps. Could I have ovarian cancer?
The curse of the VUS: Personal and family history trumps genetic testing. If you have strong family history of breast/ovarian cancer, it could be that the vus is truly a deleterious mutation yet to be identified as such or have another gene involved besides brca. I would advise you see your gyn and a specialist with expertise in genetic testing/risk assessment. They will go over ways to reduce cancer risk for you. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
