I am spotting brown and have cramps 1.5 weeks before my period. I am on birth control and pregnancy test is negative?

I am spotting brown and have cramps 1.5 weeks before my period. I am on birth control and pregnancy test is negative?

Might be ok: Hopefully you are taking a basal body temperture every morning before you get out of bed and have detected a biphasic shift indicating ovulation. if you are ovulating alright, everything is fine. The light pink is just an indication that you aren't pregnant or have inadequate progesterone for the late cycle, so get some light bleeding. ...Read more

Can you have a negative pregnancy test and day before period, and still be pregnant? Also Been having cramps on one side since ovulation.

Can you have a negative pregnancy test and day before period, and still be pregnant? Also Been having cramps on one side since ovulation.

YES.: A pregnancy test tests for the presence of HCG in the urine. HCG is produced by the placenta starting early on in pregnancy and rising as the pregnancy progresses. If it's positive, it's a clear indication of pregnancy. If it's negative, you could still be pregnant. The urine specimen may be too diluted, the embryo not viable, the test done too soon or the pregnancy ectopic. See your doctor! ...Read more
