I am spotting brown and have cramps 1.5 weeks before my period. I am on birth control and pregnancy test is negative?

Trust the test

Birth_control
Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctor's office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

Other uterus issues?

Depending on your age, this kind of spotting could happen because of infection, uterine fibroids (benign tumors) or cancer, if you are over 33 or so. Visit your local OB/GYN and tests can be done to determine the cause of this bleeding.

Cramps on one side of pelvis and cervical mucus. Period due end of next week?

Mittelschmerz?

Pelvic_pain_
If you are midcycle, a common cause of crampy pain on one side is ovulation - when the egg is released, a small amount of fluid or blood can leak into the pelvis /lower abdomen and cause a crampy pain. This should go away in 1-2 days. Continued or worsening pain should be evaluated. If you might be pregnant, then crampy pain is worrisome and needs to be evaluated-take a pregnancy test if concerned

Dr. Daniel C. Lee answered:

im having cramps of the left side for one week. . my period is tomorrow. is it pregnancy sign?

Possible

Menses
It's always possible to be some signs of pregnancy, but if becomes concerning if it becomes severe pain on one side because that may suggest a tubal pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy. Most likely it's not that but possibly an ovarian cyst or intestinal cramping. If it continues to persist you should see an ob/gyn.
