Very normal: Most plan B users have some irregular spotting or bleeding with it. I still always recommend checking a pregnancy test in 2 weeks and also consider getting on a regular birth control pill as the daily pill is 97% effective. Plan B at best is 75% effective. ...Read more

Some other common causes may include Pelvic inflammatory disease and hemorrhagic ovarian cysts. Perhaps the most important cause to evaluate for would be an active pregnancy.
