Often no cause: Spontaneous painful muscle cramps often happen without any detectable cause. Electrolytes imbalance and low Calcium levels in blood are rather uncommon causes of painful cramps. Left hand /side cram: The burning may be reflux with or without H pylori a bacteria, you can see if maalox eases the discomfort (if H pylori need antibiotics also). Sometimes with reflux you can get discomfort in arms. Chest pain could also be cardiac and can radiate to arm.
