I used olive oil and combed rather hard to remove my 6 mo baby's cradle cap. Now at 3 yo, she has thin hair. Did I pull out hair that won't regrow?
My daughter is a year old. She has red pustual bumps on her head mostly on the top and in the middle. At first we thought it was cradle cap it isnt.

Yes: Hair loss from removing cradle cap is temporary and it will grow back. But if hair is coming out with "scratching", i'm concerned you are scratching too hard. Best to massage scalp for several days with baby oil, then gently remove the scale with a brushing with baby brush. Probably hurts: Cradle cap itself can cause hair loss just by its presence. Soaking the scalp for 10 minutes with baby or coconut oil, then gently combing with fine tooth comb should gently remove the scales with less irritation.
