Dandruff shampoo: Cradle cap builds up when the old skin flakes of the scalp are anchored to the skin by skin oils that act like glue. Normal tear free baby shampoos do not have the chemicals needed to loosen these flakes.Application of dandruff shampoo, keeping it out of the eyes, will gradually help.Gently teasing the flakes loose with a cuticle brush speeds the process. ...Read more

I think my 6 month has cradle cap. How do i fix it? Did i cause this and how do i prevent it?

Cradle cap: Best to massage scalp for several days with baby oil, then gently remove the scale with a brushing with baby brush. If that doesn't clear it up, shampoo scalp once a week with a tar based shampoo. The one I like best is Neutrogena Tar Shampoo. You did not cause the cradle cap - it is a seborrhea of the scalp, which is skin condition common in babies. To prevent, tar shampoo scalp every other week ...Read more

Soaking the scalp for 10 minutes with baby or coconut oil, then gently combing with fine tooth comb should gently remove the scales with less irritation.
