While Chamomile tea: is ok - concentrated chamomile may not be. It is recommended that you not drink nettle leaf, fennel, sassafras, rosemary (in large amounts), hibiscus, ephedra, licorice root, raspberry leaf, oregano, cinnamon, anise, senna or sage tea. Encourage you to limit caffeine intake -so if you drink white, red, yellow or green tea- try to make it decaffeinated. Ginger, lime, barley, peppermint and thyme ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I've been taking a cup of valerian root + lemon balm tea a day for a month. I stopped 2 days ago. Should i wait more, or can I start with clonazepam?
Very good question: Valerian contains ~150 different compounds, ; many haven't been thoroughly investigated. When people take 600mg valerian capsules, elimination half-life of one compound (valerinic acid) was ~1.1 hours. http://tinyurl.com/l6cgv6s with tea, you were likely not getting this 600 mg dose though. If your doctor has prescribed klonopin, (clonazepam) you're probably okay to take it -- but not together with the tea. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can i take nature's way cayenne pepper capsules during pregnancy? I want to drink something for headache and sinus! now 5 weeks pregnant!
Why take the chance?: Pepper capsules might be perfectly safe, but we don't have any data to show that they don't cause birth defects. If you're pregnant don't assume that something sold as "natural" is safe. If it's not life and death, avoid taking anything in early pregnancy, or later on for that matter. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I take Synthroid (thyroxine) .125 mg/day. Is it alright to drink tea made from garden thyme? I drink about 2 cups a day. I also drink basil tea
Yes, totally fine: Thyme has many health benefits and no known interactions with thyroid hormone. I find that most people on synthroid (thyroxine) feel better with the addition of liothyronine (t3) or by changing to natural thyroid. Coffee ; medications: There is a handful of medications that coffee can interfere with.
