Painful sex.: Please start by going to see a gyn physician. A painful sex in early pregnancy can range from nothing very serious to potentially life threatening conditons like ectopic pregnancy. A ruptured ovarian cyst early in pregnancy can also cause pelvic pain which may get worse during sex. Please don't forget that a pelvic infection can also cause both pain and vaginal bleeding. Hello. : Hello. Signs for an ectopic pregnancy can include pain or cramping in the lower abdomen, mild vaginal bleeding, pain with urination, pain with bowel movements or pain in the area of the ovary. These initial symptoms can present within the 5th to 8th week of pregnancy. With a later ectopic pregnancy, there can be heavy bleeding and pain. About half of women who have bleeding in the first trimester (not implantation) may miscarry. I recommend that you let your obstetrician know about this.
