Is there a connection between severe lower back pain and weak urine stream?

Yes: If you are taking pain medications that are narcotic, muscle relaxers, or other meds that have the potential to make you sleepy, then yes. If you had severe spinal cord/nerve compression, you likely would not be able to void voluntarily. There would be saddle numbness and likely pain into legs as well if related. So I am doubtful that you have cauda equina syndrome with only the 2 symptoms listed.

I'm having really bad lower back pain on my right side and my urine smells sour., could it be something with my kidneys?

I'm having really bad lower back pain on my right side and my urine smells sour., could it be something with my kidneys?

It certainly could b: Sounds like either a kidney or bladder infection. You should see someone and get a urinalysis to find out, today or tomorrow at latest. Drink plenty of fluids, especially cranberry juice (at least 8 glasses per day), and you can take acetaminophen and apply heat for pain.

If muscle weakness: You should be evaluated by spine specialist. Either neurosurgery or orthopedic spine fellowship trained doctor who can relieve the pressure on the nerve by that disc. Assuming you have had conservative care, including physical therapy, possible injections by pain management, adjustment by chiropractor very briefly.

Normal pelvic exam lower back pain and urine frequency could you have ovarian cancer?

Normal pelvic exam lower back pain and urine frequency could you have ovarian cancer?

Back pain&ovarianCA: Ovarian ca is the silent ca. It is hard to diagnosis and it can be easily confused with other problems. Symptoms are bloating, pelvic and back pain, frequent urination, difficulty eating, weight loss, which have been present for at least 6-12 months. The most common cause of frequency and back pain is a bladder infection...But pleas see your doctor and get checked out for both.

I've had four urine cultures done that come back with WBC and RBC without bacteria. I've had lower back pain and itchiness in vag. What could it be?

I've had four urine cultures done that come back with WBC and RBC without bacteria. I've had lower back pain and itchiness in vag. What could it be?

Clean catch: It is possible that material from a vaginal infection or inflammation contaminated your urine specimen. Sometimes a catheter is used to avoid that contamination if you can't collect a true clean catch specimen. I suggest that you see a urologist if the urinalysis remains persistently abnormal. I assume your gynecologist has already checked you for a vaginal infection.

Fever and lower back pain and sciatica is it related? My blood and urine analysis are great

Fever and lower back pain and sciatica is it related? My blood and urine analysis are great

Not related: Sciatica is due to mechanical compression of the sciatic nerve and fever is from an infection or immune system process. Fever and back pain (not sciatica) can exist in many conditions such as kidney infection, etc. Call your doctor and start by saying that you have a fever.

See your regular doc: Although your symptoms could be simple muscular strain/sprain, have your doctor check you out. The urine coloration could merely represent dehydration, but would check for blood and infection. Likely all of this will work out well, but why worry, be pro-active.

I went to doc with lower back pain and they ordered a urine test and found blood. They want to do a CT scan but the pain is gone do I still need it?

I went to doc with lower back pain and they ordered a urine test and found blood. They want to do a CT scan but the pain is gone do I still need it?

Yes: Though the most common thing that the public associates with blood in urine and back pain is kidney stones, there are other possibilities, some of which are major medical concerns. If you have ever been a smoker, there is the possibility of either kidney cancer, bladder cancer or retained stones that are asymptomatic. Kidney cysts can also cause this, and sometimes require surgery. Yes to CT scan.
