Could Taking Vicodin Let Me Get A Tattoo Without Feeling Any Pain
Vicodin and tattoo: Firstly - having a tattoo is not painless. Secondly none of the "tattoo parlors" are permitted by law to provide pain medication. Secondly I dopubt very much if any md will give you this opioid just to get a tattoo - expect them to tell you to take a Motrin and tylenol (acetaminophen) for the tattoo. ...Read more

Don't do it: Vicodin is a controlled substance and you'd be self-administering without a physician's permission, which is still illegal and probably rightly so. If you do this sort of thing casually, you're inviting addiction to creep up on yourself. Your artist may have a topical anesthetic gel, or you can embrace the total experience, including the pain. ...Read more
Curious. Difference by taking 1tab 5/325 vicodin q 4 hrs vs take 1/2 tab q 2hrs? I don't like that feeling with a whole. Been on 4yrs since back surg
That's fine: Ultimately there's no difference - you can take 1-2 every 4 hours (maximum) and really can split that up any way you want. Do not exceed the 3200 mg of acetominophen per day limit unless your doctor OKs it. ...Read more
Took 1/2 a vicodin for bad tooth pain, feeling anxious about it. Taking it with antibiotic, but afraid of narcotics. Anything to worry about?
No Contraindications: Those 2 medications are not known to be contraindicated with each others use; however, I agree with the other doctor above that this behavior may not be good, unless you have already seen a dentist and were prescribed these medications for an imminent procedure that will fix your obvious tooth problem. Make sure you are taking care of yourself, get your tooth fixed asap-you don't want to lose it. ...Read more
My hips have arthritis in them. I take 15mg meloxicam and I am feeling worse some days! Can I take ibuprofen or vicodin in same day?
Not ibuprofen: You can take vicodin if that is prescribed to you for the pain as the Acetaminophen will not cause any issues related to the meloxicam. However, do not take Ibuprofen with our as they are both nsaids and can increase the side effects you may have, including GI upset and ulcers. If the current regimen is not helping, discuss with your physician other options like injections. Hope this helps! ...Read more

You can't: If you are being tested, then you will be experiencing the consequences of your drug use. That is what is supposed to happen when you do things that are harmful to you. Someone helping you avoid those consequences is actually doing you harm, no matter what you may be thinking right now. Use this as an opportunity to look hard at your drug use and what it is possibly doing to your life. ...Read more
Depends: Addiction is a behavior pattern that is abnormal (stealing/having sex for/hurting someone, etc) because you crave the medication. Typically you will become tolerant and dependent to the medication first. To at least stop the tolerance and dependence I would suggest using the med on a as needed basis infrequently to ward regular usage. ...Read more

Day after partial meniscus removal surgery. Almost blacked out after getting up to go to the restroom. Taking Vicodin. Did I get up too fast?
Yes: If I understand correctly, the answer is yes; it is normal to get shingles at age 35, or even younger. Shingles is caused by the "sleeping" chicken pox virus becoming active and causing a painful blistering rash, at most any age. The shingles vaccine, recommended at age 60 or over, reduces the risk by about 50%. A good prevention resource is an iphone/ipad app called prevention checklist 2013. ...Read more

If this medication was not prescribed for you it would be best and safest to see a physician that can assist you. There are medications that are available that make withdrawal less uncomfortable, counseling is of tremendous benefit as well. ...Read more

Possible After 5yrs on Vicodin 5/325 to occasionally still get weak/tired/SOB etc? I take half tab q 2 1/2 hr instead of q 4-6hr. I do have MG also.
Yes it is possible: If you are taking 1/2 (2.5 mg) q 2.5 hrs around the clock or even 12 -14 hrs a day for any length of time you could be showing signs of opioid dependance, albeit at its early stages. At some point you went from q 4 hrs to q 2.5 hrs, likely due to your becoming tolerant and need a higher dose. Early withdrawal sx include fatigue, weakness increased pain and/or anxiety or depression. ...Read more

How can I make Vicodin withdrawal easier? I want to quit this drug so bad, but I always get a horrible case of the chills. I'm NOT going to ask my doc
Addictionologist: The symptoms of Vicodin (opioid) withdrawal are pretty severe physically and emotionally. However, they are not life threatening. It is best to do it with a trained addictionologist. It has to be tapered down and certain non-addictive medications need to be used to minimize some of the withdrawal like diarrhea, craps, pain and a sleep disturbance. Good Luck! Most people quit drugs so can you! ...Read more
YES, probably: Different opioids have different abilities to stimulate mast cells to release histamine, the substance that causes the skin to make wheals, or hives. These reactions are not allergies, meaning you do not need prior exposure and antibody production in order to react. Oxycodone is a low histamine releaser vs codeine, though. Http://depts. So I have Crohn's and whenever I get vicodin I get super nauseous and dizzy and a headache and itchy? Is this from crohns?
No, its probably the: Side effects of the hydrocodone. All opioids have the potential to cause release of histamine from mast cells (the cells involved in allergy) by a direct effect. While it is not truly "allergy, " it acts like it, and nausea, diarrhea, itching, skin flushing and even hives can result. Some opioids cause this effect more than others. There may be medications that will do less of this for you ...Read more
What to do if I had 50 vicodin a day and they put me on methadone to get offquestion is methadone can stop vicodin but can vicodin stop methadone.?
Unsure I understand: Methadone is used to serve 3 basic purposes. The first one is to replace with an equivalent dose of opioid so that the person doesn't experience withdrawal (being dope sick). The 2nd purpose is to get the dose up to a point where the individual is not feeling craving. The 3rd is to produce so much tolerance that doses of other opiates (like hydrocodone) really don't do much. So people stop using. ...Read more
