Could Prostatitis Make My Anus Itch
I have severe prostatitis and anal itching, a urethral swab has revealed thrush (candida). Could this be the cause of my symptoms?
No: If you culture there you will grow a variety of organisms, including yeast. Assuming you are taking antibiotic for prostatitis. you will have increased candida. You may need treatment for this. Candida does not cause severe prostatitis. It may be responsible for some itch. Anal itch is usually due to fecal soiling. Avoid scrubbing. After a BM, first clean with paper, then clean with lotion INSIDE
I think I have prostatitis for last 6 months I have a 12 weeks of trimethoprim, would this also be causing severe buttocks soreness and Itching?
I took meds for prostatitis & I am feeling fine. Yesterday, I ejaculated some drops of semen went to anus. Can I get bacteria if semen goes to anus?
Fistula possible: To confirm- you have a chronic prostatitis for which you take abx. When you ejaculate, semen comes out of your anus- if this is the case, you need to see a urologist, to determine if you have a fistula. Normally, there is NO opening between the anus and your prostate; a chronic prostate infection could have caused the opening, or else the opening was present and is now infecting the prostate.See 2 more doctor answers
Is prostate massage (in hospital) bad for health? Will massage cause prostatitis? I was experiencing symptoms after it (rectal pressure, anus pain, etc

I have an inflamed anus due to prostatitis. I been told to take a sitz bath. I now have jacuzzi that I sat in for 15 minutes. How hot can the water be? Is 101 too hot?
It's fine: Hot baths are a good idea for this problem. 101° is not typically too hot and permissible. Most people seem to shoot for baths around 102° to 104°. Anything beyond this becomes pretty uncomfortable. Let comfort direct what you do.See 1 more doctor answer
Your symptoms could: Be from hemorrhoids or diet related. Pruritus is commonly caused by increase ingestion of coffee, chocolate, beer, orangs/grapefruit juice, tomatoes, spicy food and nuts. Watch your diet, avoid scented toilet papers, and use over the counter meds. If symptoms don't seem to be improving you will need an examination to rule out any other etiology.
I have a slightly, barely noticeable raised bump around my anus. Not irregular color. Hardly itches when scratched. Not painful. What could it be?
Hard to say: Ask your doc on your next exam. It doesn't sound dangerous but go in if ant changes.See 1 more doctor answer
I got a handjob from a girl with herpes. My anus itches and was wondering if I could have got herpes from a handjob or could it be from something else?
Slow Down: Anus itching is not in any way a symptom of herpes. First, congratulation on having a sexual encounter. Second, what is the real problem here? Getting a hand job does not in any way put your anus at risk for anything. Why would you even spend a second trying to connect the two?
Why do I have a white spot near my anus? It is not inside it is just near it, it only itches at times.
Hard to say: I would be concerned about a flat wart but it really needs to be evaluated and even possibly biopsied to know for sure.
My anus itches, I've tried a few things, but it just seems to always itch when I have it. What do I do?
Most commonly: Related to dietary habbits. Avoid increase ingestion of coffee, beer, chocolate, spicy food, tomatoes, grapefruit or orangejuice and nuts. Use baby wipes and pay an attention to if certain foods make your symptoms worse. Calmoseptine oint works really well. There are several other sources as well including hemorrhoids, drainage from fistula, warts and some benign rashes. If no improve see your doc.
My anus itches really bad a lot, what could it be from. I'm 20 years old and really clean. Any ideas?
Scalp/Anal Itch: It sounds as if you have two contions. The scalp may be a condition called seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis. The anal itch can be due to many things: toilet paper, foods, medications, soaps or detergents, improper cleansing the anal area, and more. See your physician; he/she can usually iron these problems out. Shampooin daily with a tar shampoo may help the scalp.See 1 more doctor answer
