Limited to bowel: Technically speaking, IBS-C (constipation predominant) shd only affect the bowels. IBS isn't a systemic disease like IBD (inflammatory bowel disease - Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis). Concerned not IBS: Your symptoms are not typical of irritable bowel syndrome. Pain, especially 7-8 out of 10 and vomiting are unusual. Also, the racing heart/palpitations may be a sign that you are dehydrated. To be symptomatic at 29 you are probably very dehydrated. As you know, this condition can cause an anemia and this could cause your heart to beat faster, but your would have to be very anemic to experience palpitations.
