Could Donating Blood Cause Chest Pain If You Are Not Anemic
No: Donating blood cannot cause any type of serious chest pain in someone who is not anemic. Only 450 cc of whole blood is donated at one time, less than 10% of ones blood volume. Donating blood too often might deplete someone's blood supply sufficient to cause cardiovascular type chest pain, but that is usually prohibited.
