Can arthritis in my back affect my arms and chest as in pain wise or maybe the nerves perspective of it?
Osteoarthritis : Osteoarthritis of the lumbar spine (low back) can not affect the arms. Most likely if you have arthritis in the lumbar spine then you can also have osteoarthritis of the cervical spine (neck) . This would affect your arms. A cervical spine x-ray/mri can determine if you have cervical spine spinal stenosis caused by arthritis. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have Arthritis in my neck, I have no pain in the neck at this time, but did about 4 days ago, can you have referred pain in upper chest/shoulder. ?
Yes: neck pain from degenerative disc disease or 'arthritis ' can lead to nerve 'impingement ' and 'referred' pain to the shoulder , and less frequently, the chest. My advice would be to see your family physician to make certain of the origin of the pain( neck, shoulder, heart??)is identifiable. This requires a history , thorough physical examination, and if needed, further diagnostic tests. Good Luck! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
