Yes: The nerve that gives sensation to the wisdom teeth comes off of a nerve that gives sensation to the upper jaw and the area around the ear/temple/tmj area. Pain in the wisdom teeth can radiate to these other areas with "referred pain." some of my patients complain of this pain days after their wisdom teeth extractions.
