On the side of my tongue, there is some scalloping. There is a very small, flat, barely noticeable spot of discoloration: 3mm at most. Cancer?

Tricky.: dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. scalloping with discoloration would indeed be a presentation of precancerous / cancerous changes. These are RARE in young people. ANd, dental problems iwth chronic biting/irritation of the tongue MUCH more common. cannot say in your particular case, but generally, ...Read more

I've got a white spot on the frenulum of my tongue. It looks like a cancer sore but not for sure. There also appears to be like a small sac type thing hanging off each side. Worried?

Be sure of diagnosis: Get examined please. Canker sores are common aphthous ulcers of mouth that occur situationally, often in response to stressors, are bacterial or viral, & can be treated topically with many otc products that reduce local discomfort & potentially speed healing. However, oral/dental problems & a number of systemic diseases cause canker sore-like lesions--crohn's, behcet's, std (sexually transmitted). ...Read more

Had a spot on tongue for 2 months if it was cancer would it grow or change color or hurt or anything?!?

May be: Two months is not long enough to see increase in size in some caners. It is unlikely that it is cancer, however it would be prudent to see your doctor for an examination. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

My tongue has white spot. Is it possible to get tongue cancer after one month of smoking?

Yes, however...: It is possible to get tongue cancer even if you have never smoked (though smoking does increase the risk) so having smoked only a month does not mean this is impossible. However, a white spot on your tongue is not necessarily cancer- it may turn out to be nothing serious at all. But because tongue cancer is serious & best treated as soon as possible i advise you see a doctor soon to evaluate it. ...Read more
