Go see: Any visualized change in your mouth should be evaluated. Please see your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon for evaluation. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be told there's nothing to worry about? One idea: Do you perhaps have transient lingual papillitis? It's not cancer. Read about it. Check with your physician next time you visit and they are present. I hope you're able to stop chewing someday, but I'm very glad you're chewing rather than smoking. Best wishes. ...Read more

Yes, however...: It is possible to get tongue cancer even if you have never smoked (though smoking does increase the risk) so having smoked only a month does not mean this is impossible. However, a white spot on your tongue is not necessarily cancer- it may turn out to be nothing serious at all.
