Could A White Spot On The Side Of My Tongue Be A Cancer
I've got a white spot on the frenulum of my tongue. It looks like a cancer sore but not for sure. There also appears to be like a small sac type thing hanging off each side. Worried?

One idea: Do you perhaps have transient lingual papillitis? It's not cancer. Read about it. Check with your physician next time you visit and they are present. Yes, however...: It is possible to get tongue cancer even if you have never smoked (though smoking does increase the risk) so having smoked only a month does not mean this is impossible. However, a white spot on your tongue is not necessarily cancer- it may turn out to be nothing serious at all.
