Some are benign like geographic tongue or median rhomboid glossitis and others can be dysplastic. Likely not dangerous: Did this develop recently or has it been there a while? Could it be that it the normal structure, called frenulum and you only noticed it recently. There is no immediate danger, you can discuss it with your doctor when you see her/him next. ...Read more
