What is approprate medicine for pain in ribs and productive cough with grey white sputum?

Pneumonias left untreated can be dangerous and lead to complications. See a doc. ...Read more

COPD exacerbation: What you describe sounds like you have triggered a tendency to irritation of your bronchial tubes. The underlying problem may come from past smoking. At this time, avoid chemicals, perfumes, dairy, smoke, and spicy foods to decrease mucous production. Use of an inhaler could help if you wheeze. Humidifier will help the mucous to come out. Cough suppressant may help. Discuss with your mds. ...Read more

What causes a white frothy sputum in a child's cough?

What causes a white frothy sputum in a child's cough?

Mucus production: The cause of white frothy sputum with cough is due to mucus production in the lungs, nose, and sinus. This is the way our immune system gets rid of unwanted and harmful agents who enter our respiratory system. This defensive mechanism is conducted by the immune cells lining the airway with specific antibodies to protect; mucus contains products to kill the agents as well as to wash them away. ...Read more
