My mom has COPD and is a former smoker. I have never been a smoker. How likely is it that I will develope copd? I cough and have a lot of phlegm in the morning.
Do u believe the color of phlegm in the morning is BEST way to tell if you sick or not? Cough on/off during day. White to brown. I smoke. Stuffy nose

It sounds like you have chronic bronchitis, and continued smoking is going to cause more harm, including emphysema/COPD. You need to stop. Please talk to your doctor about ways to help you quit smoking and improve your cough and your health. ...Read more

After 3 days of no nicotine i get chest pain, especially on movement and also phlegm cough in the morning. Is it a normal reaction?
Probably: Soon after stopping smoking, some people have an increased cough related to the lungs starting to mobilize more tar and phlegm. Chest pain is likely musculoskeletal in origin, possibly from coughing so much. Not likely anything serious at your age, but you could also be coming down with a cold or bronchitis.
