Best treatment is rest, plenty of fluids, tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen for aches and fever. A decongestant and cough suppressant may be helpful when these symptoms arise. There could be multiple causes for your chronic cough. Such as asthma, acid reflux, post nasal drip, or smoking. If you smoke you need to stop. Acid reflux is usually accompanied by a burning throat as well as coughing. Asthma is denoted by difficulty in breathing and coughing. Suspect sinusitis: I presume that the clear x-ray was of your chest. I would advise getting a ct scan of your sinuses. I suspect that you may have a sinus infection. You may need treatment with oral steroids and a stronger antibiotic. This is not likely related to tb. Good luck. ...Read more
