See a doctor: the metal test after a cough could be concerning because sometime it could be the test of iron and that could mean that there is a blood might not be visible in you sputum so my advice go and see a doctor will examine you either will assure you or treat you of course there is a lot of other theory to explain the metal test as well good luck ...Read more

I've recently went to the doctor & I have bronchitis. Now my cough has worsened & I have a horriable taste in my mouth like a metal!

Antibiotic?: They may have given you an anti-biotic that causes nasty metal taste. The most common ones are biaxin (clarithromycin) and Flagyl (metronidazole), but if your cough is worsening you should let the doctor know, and get re-checked sooner to make sure not turning into pneumonia. ...Read more
