I have a sudden very chesty cough, without a cold or sore throat and I feel very lightheaded BP 90/60 possible Causes?
Respiratory illness: You need a proper evaluation to determine the cause of this. The fact that you are lightheaded is my major concern. Not sure if that blood pressure is your usual BP or not, but you should go to the nearest Casualty Room (ER) and get this checked. Coughing can cause passing out. Not much to do: Not much to do to help babies at this age. Antibiotics do not kill viral colds and will not help. Cold medications are not approved for use at this age either. You can try nasal saline and bulb suctioning to get the snot out. I find that sitting in a hot, steamy shower (the water should not touch the baby - just sit in the steam) with the baby upright to get the snot to flow out, will help. ...Read more
