I have had heart palpitations for 3 days now with mild discomfort I was diagnosed with costochondritis in 2013 can this cause palpitations?
No: Costochondritis is not a cause of palpitations. Chest pain/discomfort with palpitations should should be evaluated for alternative causes. Heart rhythm problems may or may not be the cause of the chest symptoms. ?endoscopy: Gerd can burning in throat and chest discomfort as well as causing food to get caught in esophagus. Costochondritis is inflammation of junction of ribs with cartilage in front of chest along the side of sternum. Usually tenderness to touch and pain with movement but not burning in throat. Trauma can cause the inflammation by simply lifting something heavy. Rarely, it could be associated with other illnesses such as rheumatoid or lupus.
